About Us and the MTC

Serco Group Ltd and the Suhail Bahwan Group (Holding) Co. Ltd are 50/50 partners and have been contracted to design, build and operate a Military Technological College (MTC) in Muscat, Oman for the Oman Ministry of Defence.

Serco and Bahwan developed the proposal for the Military Technological College (MTC) under the name of the Training College Consortium (TCC).

Above is an artists impression of how the college will look when it opens to Omani students in May 2007. This impressive infrastructure will become home to 2000 residential students both military and civilian.

The college will offer a robust learning framework that will enable students to progress from Foundation through National Diploma (ND) to Higher National Diploma (HND) and beyond, and will be sufficiently flexible to allow training to be tailored to the specific needs of the students.

The contract signature is estimated for the end of May 2005 and then the challenge begins to build and get the college open for May 2007. Although, this is not the only challenge as interim training will need to be given to students in temporary accommodation from January 2006.
